ORGANIZATION:
The Office of Engineering and Technical Services of
the IBB (International Broadcasting Bureau) consists of the Engineering Resource
Directorate, Engineering Operations Directorate, and Engineering Technical Directorate.
Its broadcast facilities cover the whole range of frequency spectrum from medium
waves (MW) and short waves (SW) to those involving FM, TV, and Internet. |

MISSION:
The mission of the Office of Engineering and Technical services of
the IBB is to :
1. Provide technical resource and expertise to IBB (which includes the Voice of
America, the Office of Cuban Broadcast or OCB, and WORLDNET) in the planning, design,
implementation, operation and maintenance of broadcast facilities.
2. Analyse domestic and International technical issues and formulate recommendations
to IBB management whenever necessary and appropriate. Unlike other groups within the
IBB, Engineering also provides specialized technical services to RFE/RL (Radio Free
Europe/Radio Liberty) and RFA (Radio Free Asia). |
