IRAN: WHAT LIES AHEAD?

THE IMPACT OF IRAN'S RECENT PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS

ON DOMESTIC POLITICS AND FOREIGN POLICY


Washington, D.C., March 8, 2000 -- Voice of America’s Farsi Service will host a panel discussion on the impact of Iran’s recent parliamentary elections on that country’s domestic politics and foreign policy.  The seminar scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to
11:30 a.m. on Monday, March 13, will take place at VOA headquarters, 330 Independence Avenue, S.W. (Please use the C Street entrance).

Panelists will include Professor Hooshang Amirahmadi of Rutgers University, Dr. John Limbert of the Department of State, and Ambassador David L. Mack, Vice President of the Middle East Institute.  The moderator will be Ali A. Jalali, Chief of VOA’s Farsi Service.
