WORLDWIDE CALL-IN SHOW WITH NEW YORK CITY
The programs, which are being carried live on radio, television and the Internet, cover the United Nations' expressions of solidarity with the United States in combating terrorism, the economic impact of Sept. 11, life today at ground zero, the diversity of New Yorkers and their reactions to the terrorist attacks, and the city’s remarkable cultural and historic life. Host Carol Pearson’s featured guests will include Paula Madrid, a psychologist providing counseling and crisis services at ground zero; John Smyth, a retired firefighter who returned to work for ladder company #18; and Mort Jaffe, Executive Director of the Greater New York Chamber of Commerce. The studio guests are being joined by numerous interviews with shopkeepers, craftspeople, and people-on-the-street.
